Bible Teaching
We believe the bible is the Word of God. God is the one we want to please, so both what we teach and the conduct of our Church is spoken out of and formed by the Word of God, the Bible.
Singing Songs of Praise
The bible tells us to "Speak to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, [offering praise by] singing and making melody with your heart to the Lord; always giving thanks to God the Father for all things, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;" - Ephesians 5:19-20 so we do set time aside to sing songs of praise & thanksgiving to God.
Communion
The bible tell us to remember what Jesus did for us; that His body was broken and that His blood was shed for us for our healing and so that we would be cleansed from sin. It instructs us to take bread & to drink of the vine as often as we gather together, these elements are symbols of His body & His blood. When we gather together, we do this with thanks, in remembrance of Jesus our saviour.
Spiritual Gifts
Outlined in 1 Corinthians 14 are instructions for how spiritual gifts should operate in a gathering. At a specific time, someone will speak in tongues. This is an example of what to expect when you receive the Holy Spirit, there will be two or at the most three, each in turn, and then someone will speak in English to interpret. Then two or three people will speak in English to operate gifts of prophecy - all inspired by God.
Miracles
Jesus said "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, for he has anointed me to bring Good News to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim that captives will be released, that the blind will see, that the oppressed will be set free," because Jesus is risen, because He lives, we can expect to continue to see these things happening & to hear people testify about these things.
